Role: FP&A Lead Length: 6-months with a view to extend/perm Location: Melbourne / Hybrid Sector: Private-equity backed Professional Services Reports to: CFO The Opportunity Our client is a prominent, private-equity backed professional services group with a significant footprint across APAC. As the business continues to modernise its financial operations, they are seeking an ambitious Senior FP&A Lead to join as their first dedicated FP&A hire. This is a "greenfield" opportunity. Rather than inheriting a legacy system, you will have the autonomy to architect the financial planning framework for a complex, multi-brand organisation. You will be the primary driver behind professionalising how the Group sets its budgets, forecasts, and how it evaluates its commercial drivers. The Role This is a high-visibility position designed for a "builder." Your objective is to move the finance function from reactive reporting to proactive, high-value strategic partnership. Key Responsibilities: Greenfield Model Development: Build the Group's foundational budget and rolling forecast models from scratch, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and user-friendly. Revenue Logic & Integration: Develop complex models that link operational billing metrics to revenue recognition standards, providing clarity on the firm's primary income streams. Process Transformation: Audit existing data workflows and implement standardised FP&A processes across different business units to improve data integrity and reporting speed. Commercial Insight: Provide the Executive team with "what-if" scenario modeling and deep-dive analysis into margin performance and headcount productivity. Technical Profile FP&A Specialist: 5 years of experience in a dedicated FP&A or Commercial Finance role, ideally within a professional services environment Master Modeler: You possess advanced Excel skills and a proven track record of building integrated financial models (P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet) from the ground up. Analytical Rigor: You have experience navigating high-volume billing data and can translate technical accounting requirements into commercial reporting. Change Agent: You are comfortable working in an environment of transition and have the communication skills to influence stakeholders during a period of process improvement. Systems Mindset: Experience with Power BI or EPM software (e.g., Anaplan, Workday Adaptive, or Jedox) is highly desirable. Why Join?
